Why TEFL Accreditation Is A Great Idea

TEFL Accreditation can be a great idea for just about any language learning institution and any language teacher. Getting accreditation from or through TEFL or teaching English as a Foreign Language provides a certain amount of weight and authority to just about any resume. If you sit and mull it over, would you be more likely to hire a teacher of English as a foreign language with training from an un-accredited institution, or one who has completed TEFL accredited courses? The choice might seem pretty simple. This is why getting accreditation for both teachers and courses can be such a great idea.
Saying that you have accreditation is a great way to draw in new students to be properly trained in TEFL and provide them a certain amount of edge when it comes to being hired abroad. Every institution of learning needs students in order to stay in business. What better way to attract more students than to offer them something that they can use in their career? Many of their future employers will no doubt be looking for someone who has studied relevant and accredited courses in their field.
There are actually various TEFL accreditation bodies that exist, so gaining accreditation is not necessarily very difficult. All one really needs to do is look into the specific requirements for the accreditation body through which the institution or course is seeking accreditation. Some accrediting bodies might require a fee to go along with the accreditation. With it being so simple, one of the questions that immediately comes to mind is why not have an institution’s TEFL courses accredited?
Simply put, getting TEFL accreditation means that you have the ability to teach future TEFL teachers the skills they need to be successful no matter where they go in the world to teach English. Having accreditation can mean that you are confident in your TEFL courses and what your students eventually become after completing them. Accreditation speaks volumes about your institution and TEFL program using very little words.
To put it briefly, TEFL Accrediting Organisation is a great idea for just about any institution and any teacher participating in a TEFL program. With accreditation comes a lot of confidence and even competitive ability for graduates of the accredited TEFL program. Schools and companies that end up hiring graduates of an accredited TEFL program may feel confident that their new employee was trained through rigorous and professional courses. If you have confidence in your institution’s TEFL program and its graduates, then it stands to reason that gaining accreditation would probably be a great idea.

  1. Students considering enrollment in the TEFL Institute of Chicago (www.teflinstitute.com) which CLAIMS to be accredited by WTEFLAC should proceed with greatest caution. Careful research on-line will reveal countless negative reviews on this organization. (YELP, www.glassdoor.com, www.goOverseas.com, www.facebook.com/TheTruthAboutTEFLInstitute). Fraudulent business practices are obviously the hallmark of this organization.

Individuals who HAVE been defrauded by TEFL Institute should IMMEDIATELY contact their Credit Card company or issuing bank/credit union and DISPUTE the charges made to one's credit card. The key word is DISPUTE, and it is your legal right. FRAUD or failure to deliver promised services are LEGITIMATE reasons for initiating this FREE dispute resolution process which is guaranteed by Federal Law. While the investigation is underway, charges are reversed in your favour.

DO NOT register or pay money to TEFL Institute without doing your homework. You along with hundreds of students (and dozens of unpaid teachers) will regret your decision!
