Choose a TEFL Course with the Appropriate TEFL Accreditation

As you seek out a TEFL course, you’ll quickly discover that there are many different degrees of educational quality in those courses. If you do your research, you will find that the teaching positions that come with the best benefits also require that their teachers have a top quality educational background from a course provider with has met the appropriate accreditation TEFL guidelines. You want to seek out the course providers offering the top quality coursework and instruction. You also want to be sure that the course provider has the appropriate accreditation from an internationally recognised accreditation committee.
You may feel like these top quality schools cost too much or expect too much work. Maybe you feel like you’d rather take your chances with a course provider that doesn’t meet accreditation guidelines. You might think that you are making a good financial decision or one which will save you time. However, you run the risk of not getting employment after the conclusion of this course if you choose a course provider without the appropriate accreditation TEFL recognition. When this happens, then all of the time, money, and effort which you spent would have been for naught.
Unfortunately, there is currently no one standard for courses regarding teaching English as a foreign language. This means that just about anyone can open up a course and then hand out TEFL course completion certificates. For the unsuspecting student, this completion certificate may seem to be appropriate.

  1. Students considering enrollment in the TEFL Institute of Chicago (www.teflinstitute.com) which CLAIMS to be accredited by WTEFLAC should proceed with greatest caution. Careful research on-line will reveal countless negative reviews on this organization. (YELP, www.glassdoor.com, www.goOverseas.com, www.facebook.com/TheTruthAboutTEFLInstitute). Fraudulent business practices are obviously the hallmark of this organization.

Individuals who HAVE been defrauded by TEFL Institute should IMMEDIATELY contact their Credit Card company or issuing bank/credit union and DISPUTE the charges made to one's credit card. The key word is DISPUTE, and it is your legal right. FRAUD or failure to deliver promised services are LEGITIMATE reasons for initiating this FREE dispute resolution process which is guaranteed by Federal Law. While the investigation is underway, charges are reversed in your favour.

DO NOT register or pay money to TEFL Institute without doing your homework. You along with hundreds of students (and dozens of unpaid teachers) will regret your decision!
